April 27th marked the 4th annual Arts Night. The high school cast and crew outdid themselves yet again with Tiger Paw Theatre Productions’ performance of Ashland Falls written by Steven Stack. Congratulations to the cast: Aisha B., Alex F., Anabela C., Amanda L., Archchenaa U., Christie T., Helen I., Janine L., Julia T., Manar A., Stephen A., Shrirram S., Sydnie C. and Tshego M. and to the directors: Ms. Cha, Ms. Derlick and Evi K. Special thanks to Ms. Murad for preparing the script, Mr. Wijeyesekera, Ms. McDonald and the Art Club for creating the backdrops and costumes and to Kevin Z. and the camera crew for helping with the play posters.
The evening’s festivities also included an impressive art display showcasing the artistic talents of the high school students and the Senior Band played a selection of songs during the intermission. The STRIVE Club held a fundraiser selling doughnuts and snacks during the matinee. During the evening performance they held a silent auction with all kinds of great prizes including some beautiful jewelry, Toronto Maple Leafs’ merchandise, gift cards and a basketball signed by Toronto Raptor Demarre Carroll!
The annual Arts Night is the culmination of many hours of work by dedicated TCPHS students and staff. Thank you to all students and staff for their efforts in making the evening an overwhelming success. It was a pleasure to have 16 TCPHS alumni in attendance at this year’s Arts Night. Thank you to all students and the play directors for their efforts making this year’s production a great success!
